Featuring some CPG highlights, community wins and a special Shopify event

Is 2024 the new 2014?

Hi hi — Josh here👋 A day late on sending this week’s newsletter, but here I am. I commited to putting out an issue a week, but giving myself some grace and not holding myself to rigid “rules” … so, thank you for reading 🙂

ANYWHO… this week I wanted to start by putting a thought in your head that I have seen trending on TikTok: 2024 is going to be the new 2014, aesthetic wise. Remember the early 2010’s Tumblr and IG it-girls with their Victoria’s Secret and Sephora hauls, Starbucks Frappucinos, Cartier LOVE bracelets, low-effort/highly-edited selfies… the list goes on (basically, think Kylie Jenner circa 2013-2015). Well, content creators are saying this ~vibe~ is back for 2024 with snaps of Erewhon smoothies, Alo Yoga hauls, mirror selfies and more.

Personally, as someone who was in high school/college during this social media era, I’m excited. The nostalgia is real! What do you think?

Now, lets’s get to business…

Read on for a special event from Shopify and Vegpreneur, some community wins + chatter from across the industry. Let’s get munchin’ shall we?

Wins from within the Foodboro Community

Foodboro TLDR: For those unfamiliar with/new to Foodboro, welcome. My name is Josh and I am Chief CPG Cheerleader, championing emerging food & beverage brands. The biggest question I get asked is “what is Foodboro?” Well, here’s my one-liner. Foodboro is a media hub and community supporting startup food & beverage brands through content creation (newsletter, social, blog), community (Slack + beyond) and offering discounted rates on services from our partners (Marketplace).

Until next week xx Josh
